Children's Ministries

Psalms 62:2 - He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.

Sunday school offers children in preschool through 5th grade a chance to gather together Sunday mornings to learn, memorize and sing about God's Word. The children have the opportunity to share their musical talents with the congregation as they sing and perform at various times of the year. With the hard work of volunteers, children get a chance to worship and learn about God together in a way designed just for them.

THINK ORANGE!

Most kids form their idea of who God is, and choose whether or not they'll have a relationship with Him, before leaving 5th Grade. In order to make sure that all of our kids know who God is and how to make Christ their forever friend, we have chosen to THINK ORANGE!

Think Orange combines the two primary influences that impact a child's life: The heart of the home (RED) adn the light of the church (YELLOW). Whe we put the two together and work in a partnership with each other, we THINK ORANGE and help our kids build a relationship with the living God.

Each week kids have the opportunity to build relationships, hear a Bible story told in a fun, engaging and age appropriate way that is relevant to their lives and participate in activities that reinforce the message.

We partner with parents by providing tools each week that encourage discussion and faith-focused family tiems at home. We also provide at least one week per month where kids can join their parents in the adult worship service. (Kids will be with their parents in the worship service on the following dates: October 2, November 6 & 27, December 4 & 25 and January 1, 2012)

 Vacation Bible School

One week each year we use a different theme (i.e. space, farm, amusement park) and transform the church into an environment fun for kids. We use these themes to teach kids about having a relationship with God.  During the three hours the kids are with us, we use Bible stories, a theme center, crafts, games and snacks to show them how important and fun a life with God is. This is also a great place for kids to bring their friends and families.
