Our Church

So what does it mean to be Evangelical Free?  How do you worship?  What kind of people go to church at Oxboro?  What does the church look like and where is it located?

Here's the spot to find out answers to all those questions and more!

As far as the Evangelical Free part, our congregation is one of about 1,250 churches affiliated as part of the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA).  For short, our denomination is often known as "The Free Church."  /files/Logos/EFCA Logo.jpg

Evangelical refers to our desire to evangelize or get out the word about Jesus Christ and what a difference He's made in our lives and can make in the lives of others and that the Scriptures are the inspired, inerrant, authoritative and sufficent Word of God.

Free refers to the fact that all churches in the EFCA are free to govern themselves as they see fit.  There are certain beliefs we all hold in common, and those are important to us.  But the way individual churches function is up to each church.
