Welcome to Oxboro Kids

Explore the Bible Kids

If you asked your preschooler through sixth graders whether they want to “explore” an exhibit or “read” about it, most would choose to explore. The Bible is meant to be read, but unlike any other piece of literature, it’s also living and active. The Word of God exists to be explored! Your elementary through preteens can dig deep into the greatest excavation site in existence–Scripture. Every session of Explore the Bible brings the Bible to life through rich study and engaging Bible objects, equips kids with foundational Bible knowledge and skills, and encourages them to live what they learn everywhere they go.

Each week kids have the opportunity to build relationships, hear a Bible story told in a fun, engaging and age appropriate way that is relevant to their lives and participate in activities that reinforce the message.

I’m New to Kids Ministry

Welcome, we look forward to seeing your family at Oxboro!

Once you arrive, you can find the Kids’ ministry areas downstairs, or ask a greeter. We will meet your family, provide you with a guardian security sticker and child name tag, and one of our volunteers will lead you & your child to their group.

After the Service, return to your child’s room and show your security sticker.

Kids Groups

Toddler Room / Nursery (Ages Birth – Age 3)

We believe even the smallest children need a space where they can experience and learn about God’s love. Volunteers in the nursery/toddler room are excited to play with your child and do a fun craft or Bible story.

Preschool (Ages 4 – 5)

We believe preschoolers should learn about the Bible and God’s love through games, songs, stories, crafts and fun! Kids will start by doing a relationship building activity with their small group leader and then join Explore Kids for songs. Then they will return to their small group room for Bible story time, crafts and games.

Explore Kids (Grades K – 1)

In Explore Kids, we believe the Bible should never be boring, worship can be really exciting, and good leaders always care. Kids will start out in their Small Groups getting to know each other and checking in. They will then go to our Large Group room where there will be songs and Bible storytelling that are creative and fun! They will then split back into small groups where they can see how God’s Word fits into their lives, learn how to talk to Him, and build friendships that last.

Explore Kids (Grades 2-5)

Second through fifth graders use the Explore Kids curriculum to learn more about the Bible at an age appropriate level, but their format is different. After check in, second through fifth graders will join their parents in the sanctuary for worship. They will then be dismissed to go downstairs with their small group leader. Older elementary students are inquisitive and need a space to not only hear from the Bible, but ask questions and think through how it applies to them. Their small group leader will foster this need by guiding them through the Bible story and hands on activities.

TeamKID

TeamKID is a fun, high-energy ministry that encourages kids to know Jesus Christ and grow in a relationship with Him for kindergarten through 5th grade. Every part of TeamKID-Bible stories, Scripture memory, life application, and recreation- all connect to teach life lessons to kids. TeamKID is designed so children learn biblical principles and develop skills that will help them grow closer to God.

Come join us on Wednesday nights at 6:30-8 pm! We would love to have your kids join us! If you have questions or are interested in your kids attending, please contact Luanne Mullet (Luanne@oxboro.org).

Interested in Volunteering?

We need adults to help us minister to the next generation in Children’s Ministry. There are opportunities for any experience or comfort level, you just need to bring the love of Jesus and a servant’s heart. All volunteers are required to pass a background check before serving.
